We know that many of you are looking for some support to solder new connectors to batteries and ESCs. And it's always great to install new motor wires whenever you install a new ESC or Motor. Well look no further, as our team of professional RC techs are here to support you with our RC soldering service needs.
We stock most of the most popular connectors like: XT90, XT60, EC5, EC3, Deans, Traxxas, IC5 and 4mm & 5mm low profile bullet connectors. We can change your battery connectors to something that allows for more voltage to flow like the connectors listed above. We can also make custom connectors such as the Y-Serial-Connector (see image) to gain more voltage, this is popular for many of our racers running dual batteries in addition to our speed-run pros that want to put 4s batteries in series for more power and speed!
ESC & Motor Soldering
Need to have that new ESC soldered to your motor, or did you need an ESC/Motor combo professionally soldered, we can perform these services for you.
If you are having us install install your motor or ESC we usually build in the soldering cost into the installation service pricing
Price is $30 for soldering and install, programming and testing plus cost for connectors and wire.
Price is $15 for soldering only, you install and program.
RC Servo "J" & "JR" Connectors
Do you need to shorten your J and JR connectors going to your receiver? We can cut the wires down to a cleaner length and install new "J" or "Futaba" style connectors. This is generally more of a desired service for those of you who have 10 scale buggies and want to get rid of that extra long servo or esc wires.
Price is $15 for cutting and installing a new 2 or 3 pin Futaba style connector.
Price is $10 if you just need wire shortened with new connector but we will not be installing it into the RC car.
Battery Connector Soldering
We can solder on new battery connectors to meet your power supply needs. Whether you want to change over to a more reliable connector like a XT90, EC5 or need a new Traxxas connector, we can do this for you.
Generally we recommend going with XT90 or EC5 connectors because of the ability for these connectors to take today's batteries high-voltage and amps output. Plus they tend to not separate during usage and harder for you to cause a reverse-polarity issue.
Price is $3.50 per connector for soldering service plus the cost of the connectors.
